Our Story
Established in 1999 in Mobile, AL, Cormier Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center treats sports injuries, chronic neck and back pain, auto injuries, TMJ, bowel and reflux issues for infants, headaches, knee and shoulder issues, plantar fasciitis among many other common ailments.
Led by Dr. Cevin Cormier, a licensed chiropractor and physical therapist, our practice specializes in chiropractic care, physical therapy, and acupuncture. Whether you're recovering from an injury or surgery, seeking relief, or aiming for peak performance, we’re here to support you. Everyone can benefit from chiropractic care, including children, senior citizens and post-surgical patients.

Meet Our Team:
Dr. Cevin Cormier – Chiropractor, Physical Therapist and Acupuncturist
Dr. Cevin Cormier is a dual-licensed Chiropractor and Physical Therapist who has served the Mobile community since 1999. Dr. Cormier earned his degrees from Texas Woman’s University and Texas Chiropractic College before relocating to Mobile with his family - drawn by both professional opportunities and a love for the Gulf Coast lifestyle. Known for his approachable demeanor and clinical expertise, Dr. Cormier is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and expert in active care rehabilitation - serving as a consultant for KMC University and providing expert testimony in legal cases. When he’s not treating patients or teaching, Dr. Cormier enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers.
Shawn – Patient Coordinator/Billing Specialist
With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, Shawn is dedicated to making every patient feel welcome and cared for from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. She works hard to ensure patients get the most out of their insurance by gathering all the necessary details to support their care. Family is everything to Shawn - she’s a proud mother of two daughters and a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter. Her love for animals runs just as deep, which might explain the full house of furry companions!
Melissa – Chiropractic Assistant
Melissa is known around the office for her infectious laughter and positive energy. She’s been part of Dr. Cormier’s team for nearly 20 years, and she likes to joke that she and Dr. Cormier have given each other a few gray hairs along the way! It’s clear that Melissa loves what she does and truly enjoys working alongside her teammates — Shawn, Bon Sang, and Bodie. Outside of work, Melissa has been happily married for over 25 years and shares her home with three cats, one dog, and a steady stream of backyard wildlife she loves to feed and watch.
Bon Sang - Fur-st Responder and Chief Morale Officer
Bon Sang (pro. Bohn Sahn) is our favorite resident mood-lifter and unofficial office greeter. Whether he's lounging in Doc’s office or making rounds, his soulful brown eyes and calm presence bring instant smiles to patients and staff alike. His one and only job? Being irresistibly cute and spreading good vibes.
Bodie - Therapy Dog-in-Training, Director of Minor Disruption
Energetic, friendly, and always ready to make new friends, Bodie is a beloved member of our wellness team. Whether he’s holding court in Dr. Cormier’s office or making surprise “paw-ty” rounds, Bodie brings joy and laughter, and the occasional dose of happy mayhem wherever he goes.

When he’s off duty, chasing therapy balls counts as his cardio, but napping is his true art form. He’s a master of the perfect, stress-free snooze – reminding us all to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Off the clock, you’ll find him faithfully at his dad’s heels reminding us to be mindful and present - just enjoy the now and live in the moment. Like Bodie and his daddy, Bon Sang is a very good napper.
